Tantra is a word used by masters who work with the cosmic and sacred-sexual energies, in other words it is a blending of the body and the spirit, to create an event sexually that transforms rather than destroys. This is a conscious decision to reclaim your divine gift of sexuality.

There are primarily two paths of tantra, white and red. The white path of tantra works with the heavenly dimensions and is very safe, healing and purifying. Red tantra deals with the lower sexual energies; this is the energy of manifestation, creativity and power. Red tantra can sometimes be destructive, due to its fiery nature. It is always wise to work with both white and red tantra in the early stages of your development, as white tantra is necessary to help open the upper chakra centers, (the chakra that link you to the divine nature within us all.) These chakras need to be cleared and opened. As tantra is about the inter-mingling of our body and soul, or the integration of red and white. This is similar to the yin and the yang, female and male, light and dark, positive andnegative, heaven and earth. To help transform the base energies, bringing them to a place of understanding.

In this place we can start to grow and heal sexually. This is where real transformation starts, for we are our sex, and our sex creates life, therefore we must learn to honor ourselves, and the divine within us. When we honor ourselves, we honor others, when we see the divine within, we see it in others. Here is where tantra can help to open up the consciousness of men and woman. Teaching us to honor life, thus creating an opening in our crown charka, allowing us to manifest the divine in all things we do and think. Sexual energy is very powerful, and one must be aware if this energy is run negatively, it is able to bring great chaos and suffering into our lives. We can also pick up other's negative energy through the sharing of sexual energies, so one must be warned. On the other hand when sexual energies are run with love and respect, it creates healing, manifestation and love inour life, to us and the ones we bestow this healing on.
